sister dear, the time's come to part...

i'm officially a senior and i'm all moved home from school (not settled at home yet, but moved home) and i leave for Denmark in less than two weeks now. it's hard to believe how time flies, huh?

the school year isn't entirely over yet, though...yesterday was Class Day for the odd classes at MC. without a doubt, class day is my favorite tradition that meredith college has to offer--probably because of its timelessness & pure beauty. On class day, the sophomore class rises before the sun to gather ivy and then they construct 75-100-foot daisy chains using the ivy and store-bought daisies. then, in the afternoon, both the sophomore and senior classess process into the amphitheatre at meredith holding the chains. At the end of the ceremony, which includes lots of singing and several presentations, the seniors circle the amphitheatre as the sophomores file inside and create the class numerals with the daisy chains. it is purely amazing. the scary part is that although last year i was carrying that daisy chain onto the island, next year i'll be encircling the amph ready to see the beautifully huge "10" in daisies.

here are a few pictures:

today i'm off to graduation, which will be another beautiful (and probably tear-jerking) day of tradition--MC style!
